I can not find the kde library dir in your output above, in my system,
this is what I got:

/bin/sh ../../libtool --silent --mode=link --tag=CXX g++
-Wnon-virtual-dtor -Wno-long-long -Wundef -ansi -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500
-D_BSD_SOURCE -Wcast-align -Wconversion -Wchar-subscripts -Wall -W
-Wpointer-arith -Wwrite-strings -g -O2 -Wformat-security
-Wmissing-format-attribute -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new -fno-common
-g    -o kcm_skimplugin_mainwindow.la -rpath /usr/kde/3.3/lib/kde3
-module -no-undefined -Wl,--no-undefined -Wl,--allow-shlib-undefined
-avoid-version -module -no-undefined -Wl,--no-undefined
-Wl,--allow-shlib-undefined -R /usr/kde/3.3/lib -R /usr/qt/3/lib -R
/usr/X11R6/lib  -L/usr/X11R6/lib -L/usr/qt/3/lib -L/usr/kde/3.3/lib
configmainwindow.lo mainwindow_settings.lo -lkutils
../../utils/libscim-kdeutils.la ../../src/libskim.la

Under gentoo, kde is installed under /usr/kde/3.3

I think your ld can not find the library kdeui. I wonder why it does
not complain about this. Or maybe you got a broken kdeui library.

Please check that. Thanks,
Regards
Cougar
