I'll add a mention:
* statistics code is now disabled by default, if you need it,
-DREDS_STATISTICS must be added to CPPFLAGS when building
(a configure switch would have been nice though)

Yes, I was planning to have a more prominent mention of GStreamer in the
next release, I can add a mention here too:
* improve image quality in low bitrate situation when using the
GStreamer backend
