By the host? They are in the client as SPICE channels and in the guest.

Is the virtio_console module loaded? This module should be providing the files in the guest

I'm starting to be confused. 

By the way if spice-vdagentd exits showing the usage help this is not due to a missing 
device, a missing device is reported differently. One error will hide the other.
