The popular FLV Player (player_flv.swf) shows videos compressed vertically. 
The height is always 120 instead of the usual 240.  I made the size 640x480,
and it seems to be just above 120 pixels high (perhaps 120 plus the toolbar
height):

The issue can be reproduced locally without plugin:
