I don't think swfdec developers have any control over descriptions given
by packagers.

I'm not sure the description should include an up-to-date list of
capabilities of the software.  Such list would be hard to maintain.  But
if Packman maintainers want to provide such information, perhaps they
should test the software themselves, or at least rely on the
documentation included with the software.
