The general plan here is that Graphical DEs should use tty1 through 5
for user logins (more than 5 is relatively unlikely) whereas 6 is
reserved for text.
Now days gdm.service (or even prefdm.service before it in at least
Fedora and (because we nicked it) Mageia will actively conflict with
getty at tty1.service to prevent a text console appearing there. As
getty at tty{2,3,4,5}.service are only started "on demand" these days, if a
second gdm is spawned later it should just use tty2 (unless you've
manually switched to it already and triggered a getty to startup.
