It already had one - but you are right, it was very hard to see (and
furthermore, it rendered badly in rsvg).

That's because I had accidentally exported the drawing instead of the
page for the 48px preview...

Here is a version with a better shadow. However, I don't think that
2px is appropriate, because that makes it look as if the laptop is
levitating in mid-air. If you actually look at an Inspiron on a desk
with the light from above, the shadow is more like 1px, at least along
the front of the laptop.
