Thanks,

but i am a little unsatisfied myself. With my last approach i felt that
the icons were not "black" enough and the details were to fuzzy/blurred.
Also, there was some unnecessary complexity in the SVGs.

So i started modifying them again and here is a new preview including
variations for different models. There still seems to be some work to
do...still too much blurring and now they seem somewhat too dark. Also,
i wonder if they have enough contrast, which is a bit difficult
considering the blackness of ThinkPads. However, i'm on it.

In the process of creating variations i also wonder how specific we want
to be with these icons. The old approach was good in terms of being a
bit more generic...covering more models in one icon. The new approach
targets more the ability to create more specific icons for different
models.

I just wonder what people think makes sense? In theory, the naming spec
(which i'm not too familiar with) gives freedom to do something like
"computer-laptop-ibm-thinkpad-T41p". It seems the most clean solution to
me to follow this and create links for similar models which would use
the same icon. However, one would end up at least with a lot of links
for all the possible models.

I guess how much sense this makes comes down to how applications would
handle the device naming. Any light to shed?

Regards,
André.
