It doesn't actually matter at this stage - if clients unable to change
nickname can't change nickname, that's not a regression. If clients
which used to be able to join MUCs can't cope with the self handle being
put in local-pending, that's a regression :-)

SetAlias on the channel self_handle sounds the best fit, or failing
that, give the channel a well-known property 'nick' or something.
