What is it?
===========
Empathy is a messaging program which supports text, voice, and video chat and file transfers over many different protocols. Empathy uses Telepathy for protocol support and has an user interface based on Gossip. Empathy is the default chat client in current versions of GNOME, making it easier for other GNOME applications to integrate collaboration functionality using Telepathy.

What's New?

The "Faster, Better, Stronger" release.

This stable release fixes some critical issues including crashes and a nasty bug
preventing multi-lines MSN messages to be displayed when using Adium themes.
We strongly advice distributions to upgrade to this version.

IMPORTANT: We are now using the new icon replacing the deprecated
'stock_person' one and so rely on gnome-icon-theme 2.30. If your
distribution doens't ship this version you should consider to revert this
commit in your package:
