[Telepathy] German spell checking not working

Hi,

i just installed empathy and i can't get the spell checking support to work properly. i have the english and german dictionary for hunspell installed and i can select both english and german from the spell check menu.
english works fine and as expected, but when i switch to german empathy marks every word as wrong but does not offer any suggestion.

can someone offer some help on how to get it working properly?
