What is it?
===========
Empathy is a messaging program which supports text, voice, and video chat and file transfers over many different protocols. Empathy uses Telepathy for protocol support and has an user interface based on Gossip. Empathy is the default chat client in current versions of GNOME, making it easier for other GNOME applications to integrate collaboration functionality using Telepathy.

What's New?
===========
The "This is not the calendar-based joke you're looking for" release.

This the first release in the new 2.31 cycle. You should continue to use
2.30.x releases for now if you don't feel adventurous.

Empathy now depends on telepathy-glib 0.11.3 and GTK+ 2.20.0.

This new releases now uses status icons from your icon theme.
The conversation window is now able to "undo" the closing of a tab.
