[Uim] Using VIM

Made me feel safe that I am not the only one in here.

Using control+j is no problem with me as long as vim displays the right
characters, control+j and shift+space both can activate uim. At least
that is what I am seeing in my FreeBSD system.

I did what you have suggested above:
After shift+space or control+j, I am able to encode in Japanese and the
pop-list that allows me to select the desired Kanji Character comes out
properly but after selecting the correct characters, vim displays them
in garbled characters. "漢字" is the result of my copy and paste from
vim to this email. As you can see, I was able to select the right
character that I wanted to display but, when you look at it in vim it is
all garbled characters...
i hope this is enough...if you want me to try other things please ask me
again and I would gladly test things for you...
