sorry, only just starting to catch up with bug mail again.
the archlinux post suggests that for some users removing the hysteresis makes
it worse again. As said above in comment #12, we may need a toggle for that,
but rather than a config option for all users to set, I'd rather have a
'precise' vs 'lenient' choice (or whatever it'll be called). This would allow
us to set other bits as well depending on the choice. Not 100% sure on all this
yet though, mostly because there are so many complaints about touchpad
acceleration open that I'm wondering whether this one here will go away once we
fix most of those.
but the main thing: here I can get pixel-granularity movement by rolling my
finger (or moving it). The hysteresis applies only for the first **0.5mm** of
movement, though it applies to the axes separately. So I'd really really like
to see a proper analysis by someone who experiences the problem instead of just
"let's disable it", because that's just papering over the issue.
