            Bug ID: 102977
Summary: Touchpad is reenabled after lid switch even if it was
                    disabled before
           Product: Wayland
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: libinput
          Assignee: wayland-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: kim.lindberger at gmail.com

Since version 1.7 the touchpad is reenabled on lid switch even if it was
disabled before. In my case this means when I open my laptop (thinkpad x1
carbon gen3), and it unsuspends, I have to go into gnome settings and toggle
the on/off-switch for the touchpad to have it disabled again.

I would guess that commit f1cf83425edd4fa64ac6601e569e10f8bc95324b is the
culprit since it seems to unconditionally resume the touchpad in
tp_lid_switch_event.
