atoms.c is automatically generated from atoms.gperf using the gperf
utility. Do you have gperf installed? Bart said I should check in a copy
of atoms.c for people who don't have gperf, but I haven't gotten around
to it.

What's your definition of "wrong"? ;-)

These m4 files have nothing to do with Josh's XML-XCB stuff: they're not
protocol descriptions. I'm just using m4 for some extremely simple text
processing. There are certainly other good tools I could use to do the
same thing, but I think XML isn't one of them.
