Could we have a long and short description.

For SVG, the long description could be "XML Scalable Vector Graphic," and
the short could be "Scalable Vector Graphic."

Also, I think there needs to be enough info to pick an appropriate program
to handle it. "Scalable Graphics" doesn't scream use a program that
handles .svg to me since there are a few different "Scalable Graphics"
formats I can think of (EPS comes to mind).
