xgl hangs when openoffice menu is clicked

Hi,

I've been using Xgl+Beryl on a Nvidia/x86-64 OpenSuSE 10.2 for a while 
now. Apart from the occasional beryl crashes from which one can recover 
quickly, I get Xgl hangs which require a "killall -9 Xgl" and cause a lot 
of loss.

I found one reproducible example: Xgl consistently hangs when I click on 
any OpenOffice menu bar. Xgl takes 100% of the CPU, mouse moves but 
nothing else happens. Switching to console and back works but results in a 
black screen with only the mouse cursor moving.

I can provide more details if one can show me how to get debug info from 
Xgl or Xorg.
