compatible way for KDE-3.x, it will therefore have to wait for KDE-4.x
Of course the first step would be to reconcile the databases again, I'll try to 
do that before hand and to keep the two databases in sync (except that we
currently lack a few features like magic overriding extensions for some mimetypes).
