I'm merely suggesting that complaining about it taking the whole screen
and covering other things would be the same as if I complained that  
nautilus
(or whatever handles Gnome's desktop these days) is taking my whole screen
and covering Plasma and it's widgets :)

Using plasma (the library), you could make the add-on widgeting sistem for
existing desktops, but the current plasma (the application) is not that.
