Keep in mind that part of the MIME name space is used here so we can't
really get rid of the prefix. 

One alternative would would xdg-media-content. Personally I think
sticking with x-content/ is fine (what's in a name anyway) and renaming
it would break already deployed applications; not that this would be a
major problem (I'm not attached to the name) given it was only
introduced a few months back; it'd just a nuisance with little or no
real gain.
