To Use DBus or libusb (Beginner Question)

I bet you it just needs to be picked up as a hid device by HAL and the
right permissions have to be set.  Also look at the alsa mixer to make
sure your volumes are set correctly.  You can ask on the HAL list on
debugging your device to make sure HAL is picking it up correctly.
