Notification spec: details of raw image format

Hi,

The current spec says nothing about the way rgb components should be
packed in the "ay" part of the (iiibiay) structure. After some tests, it
seems the order is R,G,B for 3 channels images and R,G,B,A for 4
channels images. I believe the order is the same regardless of endianess
but could not check it (no big endian machine).

Does this seem correct? What about different bits-per-sample values?

Once I have this information I will incorporate it in my checkout of the
spec.
