XDG specs migrated to git

we should reach out to them and try to convince them otherwise.

yes, i think that would be good. should be passed by whomever is currently 
maintaining it, of course.

all of these should be pulled in, imho. the repository gains value as more and 
more of the relevant specs are pulled in.

there is also:

* the notifications spec which is currently sitting on a gnome server
* the dbus-based Status Notifier spec, which is currently in the 
statusnotifier branch under specifications/ in git at gitorious.org:xdg-
specs/xdg-specs.git

finally, i'd like to bring up the topic of metadata in the repository ... but 
i'll start a new thread for that i think...
