Woah, that's not good : I agree with Rodolfo here - it's good to be
able to show the difference between the actual source segment being
translated and the suggested fuzzy source text so the translator can
see how closely the source matches (before even looking at the
alternative translation)

Is there any way to get msgmerge to show the source text of the
fuzzy text ?

If I'm understanding this right, we have a partially translated po
file :

#, fuzzy
msgid "This is an apple"
msgstr "Voici un chien"

and I have no way of knowing that the fuzzy translation was in fact
the translation of "This is a dog". Hrm, my vote would be to drop
the fuzzy message, because it's of little use to translators : it's
not an alt-trans since it doesn't have a source segment unfortunately.

You could hack this by putting the fuzzy translation in a <note>
element perhaps, but tools couldn't use it in an automated way and
I don't know how much good it would do.
