It turns out that the Dell ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 64MB is of bad design.  I
have gone through four of these cards.  The 32MB versions work fine.  The memory
layout  on the card is strange, 32MB is installed directly ontop of the ATI
Video ASIC, whereas the addtional 32MB is soldered down on the PCB.  I can only
guess that ATI had timing/signal integrity problems and placed the 32MB ontop of
the package and 64MB options were after thoughts.
