[Bug 1740] Sometimes X shows strange horizontal lines and random dots in images when using radeon driver, after shutting down X, screen is blank

Now I know how to reproduce it:

1) Start kuickshow
2) Open settings dialog
3) Check "scale small pictures up to factor" and enter 2 into the entry field.
4) Start slideshow with some images
5) Wait until you notice strange lines...
6) Now you notice the corruption in every application.
7) If you move the window horicontally, you see the lines staying at the same
position on the screen until they disappear
