Xorg 1.8.x branch policy?

Peter and I chatted on IRC. At this point, Peter is running the 1.8
stable branch and as soon as he's ready to start merging stuff, he
should create a branch for that. I'll be doing 1.9 development on master
(I've already merged some DRI2 stuff).

As usual, stable patches should land on master first and get
cherry-picked over to the relevant stable branches.
