Weird: xmms interrupted for 1/2 sec when switching off DFP monitor

Never mind, it has nothing to do with the Xserver or the graphics card.
It's the USB hub integrated into the DFP. ;-) Apparently the monitor
switch turns off the hub too. I can see the corresponding hotplug events
in my kernel log. When I disconnect the joystick from the hub the sound
interruption goes away.
