Xorg 6.8.1 Locks system when run - "Caught signal 11. Server aborting"

It's an ATI driver problem, which ATI still hasn't fixed yet. If you
want to use Xorg 6.8.x you will need to switch to the DRI radeon driver
for now.
I'm not sure if the RV280 core has 3D acceleration with the radeon
drivers or not though. But 2D should be fine.
