Regarding KOI8 fonts in tree

I've filed a report at Bugzilla
(, but since there
was no effect yet, I'm raising the question here.

Quick summary: cyrillic (russian-, ukrainian-, byelorussian-,
etc.-speaking) community wishes to add cyrillic fonts directly to
tree, for them to be readily available in any X installation. Those
cyrillic fonts were designed to be 100%-compatible with regular (latin) X
fonts, and their glyphs can be simply added to iso10646-1-encoded fonts.

We can either perform this addition of glyphs ourselves and
provide files ready for CVS commit, or give any help to "official
fonts maintainer", if there is such a person.

Question: whom should I contact to solve this task?

	Thanks in advance,
