I don't have DVB-* but I use EPIA-M 600 MHz with DVD: Xv without XvMC
would be unusable.

With XvMC vmstat shows 30-% CPU load. Even less without internal 5.1
sound decoding.

It works fine with Xine + standard X.org driver (recent CVS snapshot).
