"NoBIOS" has nothing to do with tv and should be removed. It disables
use of the bios for monitor detection.  It's a vestage of an old
patch.

no.  The bios is not required to use the tv-encoder.

thanks for testing.  I haven't gotten tv-out working yet, nor have I
really even spent much time on it.  I'm trying to get out-put mapping
and LVDS+internal TMDS working first, but I'll get back to tv-out
eventually.  I got similar results when I tested on my 9550.  BTW, I
have a new patch, however, it only has output mapping related changes:
