Does a cvs add auto-commit? (and cvs help please)

Aha. A little gotcha I was not aware of :) Thanks.

Yeah I guess that's best. I will produce a patch against 6.8.2 manually
so that folks can compile that if they care (and I've had several
requests from folks that do seem to care). But I'll update to HEAD
and rework my patches.
