No, it's unrelated. xprint is also broken. See recent ANNOUNCE threads - it's 
all explained there (+ some hacky patches that work).

ps. here on radon new X is veeeery slow - to the point being unusable. I also 
have one report that pressing any key or producing evdev event causes X to 
segfault:
