How does the intel-driver handle vram-readbacks?

Hi there,

Just because of interrest: What happens if an operation can't be done
in HW by the intel-i810 driver on a pixmap located in shared memory
(vram)?
Is the CPU able to write directly into this shared or will there be
copy operations between shared-memory (in ram) and userspace (also in
ram)?
