question about the new intel driver

  I noticed that using a max screen size of >2048 disables DRI on my
intel mobile 945GM graphics chip;

Is this a hardware limitation, or a limitation of the driver? The source
code (i830_driver.c) seems to suggest that only a 965 can handle DRI at
these resolutions.

2048 looks reasonable, but these days, using a dual monitor setup, 2048 is not
that much...
