To Gavin Li and Jason Sewall
I have been test this configuration, (to have i915tex_dri.so), and
texture aren't right on 3D applications , and I think to my self, I am
losing my time and you yours .
The stables branches have, DRI support and works fine and stable, we
just don't have compressed textures, but we will have at a near future ,
perhaps on next release .
so I recommend :
libdrm-2.3.0 with a kernel >= 2.6.21 ( so don't need updates )
mesa_7_0_branch (or MesaLib-7.0.2-rc1.tar.gz):
git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/mesa/mesa Mesa-7.0.2
git checkout c1c13bdcfa1a46feb69318b43afa39daf7a47a2c ( I go to web page
and see what is the last commit on mesa_7_0_branch)
build and install ( on rpms I can send you How I do it)
xserver-1.4-branch (compile xserver is not easy, and gives many work,
maybe stay with Xorg-7.2 and xserver 1.3 will work):
git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/xserver
git checkout 846745c58108856e5fc1b6d94c91a245cbc4f16f
build and install
After that you may use last release intel-drive 2.1.1
See you tomorrow
