How is that different than any other application?

$ pkg-config --cflags cairo
$ pkg-config --cflags dbus-1
-I/usr/include/dbus-1.0 -I/usr/lib/dbus-1.0/include

Well, that was a whole separate conversation about a month ago (it
looks like you even commented in the thread).


But I believe the main benefit is that moving from version -1 to -2
could be as simple as changing a pkg-config call.
