synaptics touchpad. reconnect not supported

Perhaps you're using an older xserver version.  It works for me with git
master... :)

The ALPS touchpads also use the synaptics driver.

Are there any other touchpad drivers out there other than synaptics?  I
can't think of any off-hand.
