Independent Multimonitor Mode in X11R7.3

You have to configure your xorg.conf as multi-head. No clone and no
Xinerama. X server has multiple independent screen concept in it upto 16
screens.
Zaphod mode is not related to XRANDR, although it seems zaphod support
in ATI driver was implemented on top of XRANDR base in driver level. It
seems each screen has one CRTC.
XRANDR doesn't support zaphod as someone mentioned before. It only
support extended or clone mode.
