So, if we restart X (I'll do that in a while, when he's ready to leave,
rather than interrupt him - he is working, y'know <g>), it should stay the
way it's currently configured?

Or should we be paranoid, and put the xrandr command in
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/, or his .bashrc, or ....?

And thank you very much. As I said, this has been incredibly frustrating.

Oh, one more thing - any idea why we couldn't do anything with the display
app until *after* I did the xrandr command?
