That's how I feel.

Furthermore, a clipart gallery and an installer will make this issue visible 
to more people outside OOo.

The reason why SVG is not being implemented is not lack of will.  Everyone 
I've talked to really wants to see it happen.  The problem is lack of 
volunteers to help.  I hope that this project will draw the attention of a 
programmer willing and able to contribute SVG import.
