[Clipart] why "drive towards 10k" clipart if SVG count is 23586?

Hi,

Sorry, I think I completely missed something, why is the "the number of
images uploaded" @9323 (source:
http://rejon.org/2009/03/towards-open-clip-art-library-10k/ ) if the
number of SVG files in the
http://download.openclipart.org/downloads/daily_SVG_snapshot.tar.bz2
seems to be more like 23586?

Do we have dupes there or does your number only count the uploads in the
new system?
