Hal replacement for Edgy

In Fedora, and I believe SUSE too, this fix is against the libvolume_id
package which is provided by the udev SRPM; is this part of the hal
package on Ubuntu? (and likewise on Debian?). Just asking so I can point
people on #hal on Freenode in the right direction.

Anyway, for FC6, the fix for udev is in updates-testing
