Oh okay, this would explain some of my strange experiences here also *gg* Is 
it only en_US.UTF-8, cos I tried also others with UTF-8, but got problems.

That was also related to another thing I wanted to ask you about the 
translation of the .po files. Because I thought it would be not so much use 
to translate it when you set the LANG before you start SCIM so it will always 
show the chinese, or japanese translation for the GUI and you cannot change 
it in the program. Dunno if there would be really a need for a German 
translation for example for it, or? Also when I started to see on the 
translation, there were many quite confusing strings and I wasn't sure if it 
is worth that at all. Would be nice about comments about if there is really 
need for such translations. ;))
