hi there,

was planning to stay out of this thread, but hey;
just a quick note to thank the graphic labourers who dedicated time,
energy, professional skill to redress the LGM style,(better late then
never!)
and to express my appreciation for the great visuals,
think it will make a super LGM 2010 site

I agree with Louis and others before:
the proposed style is strong, beuatiful svg treatment, hooked on the
rocking logo -
looking forward to buying that t-shirt!

"us" is not "I";

My modest opinion is that the ink-splash does not represent creative
work in the digital age. Just like we find the steam train no longer an
appropriate icon to represent locomotives, I think the ink spalsh has
qualified as an anachronism some time ago,
well, no, should be nuanced, not entirely just, I should add: for
graphic (or other artistic / creative / design digital) work --
of course lots of artists do use ink, paint and other liquids, & fair
enough to choose an image of a tool you work with as a logo, --
-but in the frame of LGM we are talking about work that is done with
software tools
& ... square pixels, code blocks, rectangular screens, boxed windows,
copies + rips  ...

Yuv, curious for your remix !
please post a link to the list,

for the moment: THNX 1000000 x to the design team for proposing this
fresh splash of digital imagery,
i love it.

ciao,
peter
