+1 for the "own spot", in parallel to a single track of presentations.

My experience from two of the past LGM's is that things get done 1-to-1 or in
small groups, while the presentations are excellent for information and to
attract interest from the general public. Plus, with the excellent recordings
(thanks Kaveh!) I could catch up on the presentations I missed later on.

Unfortunately it seems that I can make it only every second year to LGM. No
money and no time for traveling this year.

been there, asked that, agree with you that it is the better of two less-than-
perfect choices to encourage participation/contribution.

When I asked a couple of years back, Jon shared the admin password with me.
Then I realized that this is an endless debate. A Pandora box. I would make
many people unhappy by changing *their* list. So I decided to forget the admin
password, learned to press "A" in Kmail and to deal with the nuisance of
private messages on list aliases (which usually land in my spam box and I
don't get to read).

Have fun at LGM
Yuv
