Can't Run Steam after Nvidia upgrade

[Linux Mint 19 XFCE, Nvidia 396.24]

After upgrading to 396.24, I get this when I try to run Steam:

I made sure that the 396.24 runtimes were installed (including the 32-
bit ones), but that doesn't seem to help. I tried removing Steam,
deleting the files in ~/.var/app, and reinstalling - all with no luck.

I've always run the Flatpak version of Steam; seems way more stable
than the Ubuntu version.
