[gst-devel] Non-dependent plugins

Hello,

I'm sorry if this question isn't really for the development list, but I've
been souring the documentation for an answer.  Is there a comprehensive
list of gstreamer plugins and their purpose that would give hints or
indications of which plugins, not dependent on external libraries, et
cetera, would be expected or helpful to be built as a base set of plugins?

To elaborate:

Gentoo separates their gstreamer plugin ebuilds into two groups: those
with external dependencies, and those without.  So the base plugin ebuild
is 'gst-plugins' while each of those with dependencies get a separate
ebuild of the form 'gst-plugins-<PLUGIN>, where the <PLUGIN> is alsa,
flac, hermes, etc.

Now, the gstreamer 0.8.0 ebuilds are bit behind, so I was going to submit
the necessary/expected ebuilds for the 0.8.0 release, but I couldn't
figure out what non-dependent/non-external plugins should be built by default.
Essentially, the default set of plugins should include what?
